Sanya Lopez, originally named Shaira Lenn Osuna Roberto, was born on August 9, 1996, and grew up in Malolos, Bulacan. Her parents are Marlyn Roberto and the late Ramil Roberto, who passed away when Sanya was just two years old. She is the younger sister of actor Jak Roberto.

At the age of 14, Sanya formed a close bond with German Moreno, whom she viewed as a father figure. She dedicates her performances to both Moreno and her late father. The name "Sanya," of Indian origin, was given to her by her manager.

Currently, Sanya resides in Quezon City with her brother Jak.
